Review – Warhammer 40.000: Boltgun

All things considered, the issues of the game are incredibly minor in comparison what it does well. The game is spot on with recreating the Warhammer 40k IP with it’s great environments, and ridiculous gameplay pace and the sheer amount of violence you can apply. That on its own is commendable and is a solid reason to play the game yourself. It has some missed potential but it really doesn’t hold the game back. The gameplay makes it completely worth it. Dumb shooting fun is what the marketing implies and it’s what you get. There are no great subversions in terms of gameplay or narrative but that’s really not what this genre of gameplay is about. Warhammer 40.000: Boltgun is a great deal of fun with a minimum of 7 hours of gameplay for a good price and I’d recommend anyone with some interest in shooter games to gives this one a try too.
